Handmade soap becomes the central material in a body of work that reflects on the human desire for cleansing, improvement and transformation. Drawing on the everyday ritual of washing, a familiar object is transformed into sculptural form, where its gradual erosion mirrors the idea of renewal and self-correction. Referencing the visual language of beauty products and consumer culture, the works question our persistent belief that simple actions or products can help remove what burdens us and offer the possibility of beginning again.
