Derailment is a series of works on paper inspired by a tram derailment in Oslo—a moment that became a metaphor for how direction can suddenly shift and open new paths.

The works function as a visual diary, moving from the figurative toward the intuitive. Layers of interior paint, acrylic, oil, tearing, scraping, and drawing create a textured surface that both conceals and reveals.
