Urban Journeys, In-Between Spaces, and Presence

I AM HERE is rooted in Oslo and in the city’s continuous flow of movement. Through small-scale watercolors and sketches (10 × 10 cm), the work captures fleeting moments at bus stops and train stations—spaces of transit where people pause, pass through, or drift inward.

These works function as visual diary entries: concise, attentive, and open-ended. They trace the rhythms of the city without fixing them in place, with Oslo Central Station emerging as a natural focal point. Here, motion and stillness converge, holding a subtle tension between the collective and the intimate.

Rather than insisting, the project invites: to look up, to notice, to recognize presence within the transient. In what seems momentary, a quiet sense of duration appears—not as permanence, but as awareness. I AM HERE becomes a gentle proposition: that presence is not a destination, but a way of seeing.
