The Forest as Journey, Material, and Method
TUR-NA-TUR shifts the gaze from the city into the forest of Østmarka, where walking becomes both artistic method and meditative practice. Along the paths, soil, berries, rotting wood, fungi, and charcoal are gathered and transformed into pigments and drawing tools, making nature not only the subject but the material itself.
The project centers on presence rather than destination—the shifting light, moving shadows, and quiet encounters along the way. The process is repetitive and meditative, allowing nature’s rhythms to unfold as a living visual pulse.
