Soap promises that something can become clean again. Healed. Restored. The beauty industry sells that promise every day, but the promise is older than advertising.

I take it literally. Could one small thing, a piece of soap you can hold in your hand, dissolve something far bigger than itself? It is a naive dream. I stage it as an advertising campaign for an impossible product.

PEACE FACTORY

A product that cures war. Everyone buys it, everyone washes, and the war disappears.

Of course it does not work. It shows how easily we let ourselves be sold a solution to something unsolvable, as long as it comes nicely wrapped and repeated often enough.

CLEAN HANDS is not my invention. To have clean hands is political language for claiming innocence without having it. The lie is already in the language. I only cast it in olive oil soap, because the olive branch is the oldest sign of peace.

Olive oil soap, cast by hand and stamped. 100 parts. 2026

CURE KIT

Spirit, mind, heart, soul. Each in its own tin, each 100% clean.

The beauty industry tells us that every flaw has its own solution, its own jar, its own percentage of purity. As if a person could be taken apart and washed one piece at a time.

DAILY QUESTIONS

We rarely notice the soap by the sink. These four began as my own practice of washing and reflection. Each one carries a question: WHO ARE YOU? WHAT IS REAL? WHAT ARE YOU? HOW ARE YOU?

You wash with the question until the words are gone. What is left then?
